Time For Some Self Indulgence?
Close your eyes and imagine walking into our warm, darkened treatment room, relaxing music being played and the aroma of Lavender in the air. Feel relaxed already?
Now imagine how it would feel having your tension massaged away. Your back, neck and shoulders carry the most tension and relieving this tension will not only help your physical wellbeing by easing those aching muscles but can also improve your mental wellbeing by relieving anxiety and stress and helping you sleep better. Massage in itself is also good for your skin as we use gorgeous oils to massage your skin, improving circulation and hydrating the skin.
How would you feel to have 30/60 minutes just for you? No distractions, no children/grandchildren/partner begging for your time. Just time for pure indulgence.
Most of you will be aware of Essential Oils, but do you know how they can enhance a massage treatment?
Aromatherapy massage combines two extremely beneficial and popular techniques for increased healing power, stress reduction, and pain relief. The essential oils, inhaled and applied topically can provide healing, soothing, and relaxing effects. You may find that aromatherapy massage provides the extra therapeutic and psychological care you need to get the most benefit from your massage session. We will discuss with you how you want to benefit from the treatment and choose the right blend of oils to help achieve this.
How Will You Benefit from an Aromatherapy Massage?
We use aromatic and essential oils to complement our massage treatment and no matter what blend of oils we use, aromatherapy will enhance your massage experience by helping to align and balance your mind and body. It can also help reduce pain and discomfort, relieve stress and anxiety and energize your body. The brain areas responsible for scent, emotion, and memory are closely related and experts believe certain aromas trigger positive memories and feelings and may contribute to anxiety relief.
Who Can Have an Aromatherapy Massage?
Almost anyone can have an Aromatherapy Massage. If you have highly sensitive skin, have allergies or have an aversion to heavy smells and perfumes, discuss this with your Therapist as we can adjust the amount of oils used during your massage to not cause discomfort.
If you’re pregnant, essential oils and massage can offer much-needed relief. However, you may need to get your GP's approval and make sure you only use a Therapist who is qualified in Pregnancy Massage.
